Library League

This year, I decided to add a Library League to the list of clubs I offer. The Library League is group of students who have volunteered to help with the mission of the library. Specifically, they are ambassadors that promote the library, help promote programming, offer suggestions and let their voices be heard for all things library!!! I am thrilled to have their input and I value their commitment. I know that there are a ton of things buying for their time like sports, theatre and even technology, so I am so very grateful for them. So let's meet the team!

Meet Jaxon
Jaxon came to us from San Angelo, Texas. He loves to watch movies on Friday nights. He enjoys spending time with his family which includes several cats and dogs. When he's not reading a book, he enjoys building with Legos, Pokemon card collecting and Badminton. Jaxon also serves as a library aide.
Meet Alexa
Alexa is from California but was born in Texas, so we claim her! Alexa is a twin and her sister attends Lamar also. Alexa is a maker. She is co leading a crocheting club here on campus which meets on Mondays. Her favorite book is The Blood of Olympus by Rick Riordan. She prides herself on being unique! I couldn't agree more!
Meet Kennedi
Kennedi is a Harry Potter fan which makes her perfect for the LMS library! She recently traveled to Orlando to visit Hogwarts and had a blast exploring. When Kennedi isn't reading, she runs cross country, sleeps and does yoga. She is interested in studying Law which, again is perfect for her because she loves to read. Her favorite book is Looking For Alaska by John Green.
Meet Ashlea
Ashlea is a true Texan because she was born and raised here! She loves to read all things Manga. She will be a huge help to me with manga recommendations!  She enjoys being with her family and exploring new foods to eat. In her spare time, she likes to cheer, participate in warrior ninja challenges and create art. Ashlea has a kind heart and it shows, several of her teachers have recognized her kind spirit. Thank you, Ashlea.
Meet Lilly
Lilly is a sixth grader who came to us from Jefferson ES and Western Hills ES. She loves animals like cats, hamsters and dogs. Her favorite book is Warriors: A Dangerous Path by Erin Hunter. When she's not reading, Lilly likes to play sports like soccer and tennis. She also is a maker and enjoys drawing, cooking and creating things with her hands. Welcome, Lilly!
